I’m not going to bury the lead here… This man shoots his daughter’s laptop and posts it on facebook in order to embarrass her, show how rebellious she’s being… oh and to show what a lunatic he is.
I can’t imagine feeling safe in a household where this is the kind of thing that goes on. The clear facts are that yes the daughter should be punished for what she’s doing, and if she has something to say to her parents about how she feels she’s being treated she should talk to them, but this guy is a prick.
To respond to it publicly is one thing… to then take out a fire arm, with hollowpoint rounds fire them into her laptop? What does that do? Scare her into line? Show her that you have no respect for finance but demand that she does?
Guess what ass hole! IT’S A LAPTOP! YOU CAN TAKE IT AWAY! Take it to work, and only let her have it for school work. Put software on it that allows her to not access Facebook. It’s 2012 and you expect your teenage daughter to do school work without it? I hope you’re willing to pick her up from school when she stays late at the library to do extra work! When I was in high school A DECADE AGO they demanded that I type out every single report I wrote. I couldn’t turn in a single thing hand written…
This guy is proving that he has a massive chip on his shoulder and maybe it comes from his upbringing and the fact that he’s clearly a self made man (or so he insinuates with the talk of college and high school and a job all at the same time while living along)… but that doesn’t mean your child has to live the exact same path you did.
The things this guy brings up that she’s asking for, a laptop power cable and battery don’t seem outlandish. If you’re willing to spend 130 dollars to upgrade the software why not the hardware too? Now you’ve clearly shown you have a massive disregard for your own finances by shooting something the costs hundreds of dollars and demand she pay for your stupidity?
Fuck this guy. I hope child services gets involved.
