The Gunslinger on tonight’s Doctor Who could be my favorite new character. He has a full story that is rich and complete. He could honestly have his own spin off show or comic. He’s that interesting to me.

Young Justice Does It Again… BRILLIANTLY
(I may use brilliant too much… bit applies here). The opening of the most recent episode of Young Justice had a villain who is spider themed, swings from webs, sticks to walls, uses witty quips… well it was basically an evil version of Spider-Man kept in the shadows.
The web slinger was up against Artemis and Green Arrow and then when they beat him Artemis got into a BLUE POLICE BOX THAT TRANSPORTED HER TO THE YOUNG JUSTICE BASE!
How many of my fandoms can cross over at once and on a real show like this?! This was all just for the fans, to make the squee like a bunch of nerds but holy crap did it ever work.

I look forward to two things on this day… Family and Dr Who. The best present I can get comes at the end of the day when I can finally sit down and watch The Doctor fight space monsters, steam punk robots, spider people and save the titanic once again. This year I was so worried that when I sat down to check out how my friends all were on X-Mas I’d be flooded by a series of gifs and “OH MY GOD CAN YOU BELIEVE THE DOCTOR BLAH BLAH BLAH” posts. Thankfully those didn’t hit… which probably means they’ll all hit tomorrow.
On a side note, but related one, BBC America had a retrospective about The Doctor Who Christmas Specials and they showed footage from early part of the series in HD, which I heard wasn’t possible. That kind fo shocked me. The early Dr Who reboot episodes aren’t available in HD or wide screen yet here I was seeing them in HD/16:9 with great special effects. Did they go back and redo something? If you know please comment tell me. Thanks!
