How can you just openly bootleg 100 movies you claim to LOVE?

I know… I KNOW! I’ve posted about this 100 times I’m sure. But every few months I see a post pop up where some kid says “here are 100 movies that I absolutely love about this time of the year”…

Ok great! Make that list. But why steal from the people who made the stuff you love? Why are you openly ripping them off? And if you want to start the argument that these are rare movies… this particular list was 100 incredibly well known, commercially successful main stream films, many of which are on Netflix right now.

I simply don’t understand this generation who claim to love something but never support what they love. It’s this weird group where people put themselves in a “fandom” but then steal…

I’m also not saying I’ve never bootlegged, but as I get older I do it less and less and less. Everything I watch I can find online on iTunes, the site for the network that airs it or hulu. And guess what! Sometimes I have to wait, and while I wait I watch something else I haven’t seen before.

I’m not saying I’m better than you either. I’m just saying that I’d be embarrassed to call myself a fan of something or say that I love it and then steal it.
