DJ Kento: Upcoming PDX Gig!
I’m new to Portland and I knew that trying to get gigs here wouldn’t be as simple as asking for them. After looking online for people in need of DJs, I found an ad, responded with my site, and found a small club/bar/restaurant that is in need of new DJs. Seeing as how I haven’t been here very long I figured I’d respond and sure enough later that night I had my gig lined up.
I wanted to show what I was capable of, what my style is like and how I like to play. I played for roughly three hours, and was lucky enough that Mika, the woman who booked me, liked what I do and signed me up for a gig on the 14th of September. I’ll be playing all night, starting at 9:30.
IF you want to come out, I’d very much appreciate it. I need all the people I can get. Mark it on your calenders. September 14th at Berbati’s on 19 Southwest 2nd Avenue, Portland, OR. It’s in the same block as Voodoo donuts, downtown so afterwards we can all get some treats. I’ll be playing until 2am, it’s 21+, no cover and no dress code. Just bring dancing shoes and the willingness to party your ass off.
